Buick Takes LaCrosse to the Next Level

Revamped from the inside, out for the 2012 model year, the Buick LaCrosse leads its class in terms of fuel economy... It also boasts a suite of standard, advanced, in-car technologies, top crash-test safety scores, a library-quiet ride and enough rear passenger room so that even the tall can stretch out their legs. If you don't own the Buick LaCrosse, chances are you've seen it driving around McHenry, heard of it by word of mouth, or maybe read reviews written by some of today's most highly-esteemed car critics.
Take Edmunds.com, for example. In their review of the new 2012 Buick LaCrosse, they eloquently rave, "With the 2012 LaCrosse, Buick has a fully competitive luxury sedan that doesn't nip at the heels of the big dos, but instead can now run on their own."1
For the LaCrosse, this kind of review is par for the course. But, as happy as Buick is with all of the praise they continue to receive for the hot new sedan, the luxury automaker is not letting it go to its head. Nor is it using the accolades as an excuse to rest. Rather, despite the fact the 2012 Buick LaCrosse arrived to Gary Lang Buick GMC located at 1111 S. Route 31, McHenry, IL (and other Buick dealerships around the country) just a short while ago, the all-American all-star is gearing up to push the envelope, yet again.
Specifically, Buick has designed a new concept LaCrosse called the GL. For as elite as the current range-topper is, the Tri-Shielded Road Warrior, wants to offer a car with an even more luxurious and inviting ambience.
As such, the new Buick LaCrosse GL concept gets more than a few special treatments. Starting with the inside, Buick designers worked with a rich palette featuring Cabarnet, Dark Cocoa, and Caramel. And, what better to complement such a tantalizing color scheme than supple, glove-like suede. The effect is gaze-holding handsome. And, according to David Lyon, Executive Director, Design, Buick LaCrosse it serves as a forbearer of what drivers can expect in future Buick models.
"The design cues that already distinguish the production LaCrosse - such as premium leather - upholstered seats, ice-blue ambient lighting and soft-tough surfaces - are amplified in the GL and serve as an inspiration for future Buick models," says Lyon.2
To match the LaCrosse's interior makeover, Buick is also making a few adjustment to the exterior, further amplifying its first impression. Among the more stand-out additions are strategically-placed brushed and tinted chrome accents and machine-face, satin-finish 20-inch wheel rims.
