Buick Appeals to Post-Recession Consumers with Inconspicuous Luxury

We've entered an age where some luxury car consumers might have the doe to fork out for a top-of-the-line car. The question is: Is it wise to attract attention to your wealth?

After enduring the recession that started in late 2008 and living through today's wild market swings and disease among the lower and middle classes (i.e., the Occupy Wall Street Movement), many have decided that no, it is not. But, that doesn't mean they should stop rewarding their hard work with opulence, all together... There is a less conspicuous option: Buick.

American luxury brand, Buick, makes such venerable models as the LaCrosse and Enclave, Lucerne and Regal.  In fact, the redesigned Buick LaCrosse sedan and Buick Enclave CUV represent the catalysts for Buick's 52-percent sales growth, in 2010. In 2011, this upward trend continues, with a 23-percent sales gain, as of September.

Add the forthcoming Verano sedan to the mix and Buick will essentially have established a niche situated above today's mainstream cars and below, sportier, high-performance luxury makes. It's a more approachable luxury segment that doesn't scream - Look at me. I'm Rich! Rather, it speaks to thoughtful design, confidence, refinement, determination, and perhaps most appealing - timelessness.

That's right. Unlike some luxury cars, which serve purely as a status symbol and go out of style with each passing season, prompting drivers to prove they have the wherewithal to keep up appearances - Buick luxury car cars will always be in.
