Buick Looking to Bring Back the Hatch or Wagon?

From the Verano to the Enclave, here at Gary Lang Buick GMC we have a diverse collection of luxury models in our showroom. Each gives drivers a unique option, but if there is one void it would be that currently, there is no hatchback or wagon option for Buick. However, that could change down the road, as we learned some new information from the automaker's highest ranking official.

As Buick is under the General Motors umbrella, GM president Mark Reuss recently discussed the potential for new models across all brands at luncheon for the automotive media, and the question of hatchbacks and wagons came up. Buick was specifically mentioned as a brand that could use a high-end five-door edition, since we've seen a return in demand for these types of vehicles.

We're thinking Reuss could be referring to the Riviera concepts, especially the one that most recently was shown off at the Shanghai Motor Show in China. From the sound of his comments, this vehicle would be a range-topper, and if you've seen this concept, it certainly would fit the mold, as it has looks that would rival some of those big German automaker's models.

Needless to say, we're looking forward to seeing how the plans for a potential Buick hatchback or wagon play out. Until then, however, we invite you to stop in and check out the new Buick models available in our McHenry, IL showroom. Our team would be happy to discuss the luxurious vehicle options available to you, and answer any questions you might have.
