GMC Ensures Driver Safety with Latest Recall

GMC is committed to keeping you safe, and nothing proves it more than the automakers latest recall. Specifically, GMC recently announced that it would be recalling the 2014 Sierra 1500 in order to address an issue that was recently brought to light: seats equipped with a manual reclining mechanism may not function properly 100% of the time.

To be more precise, the mechanism may not lock all the way, and if the vehicle is struck from behind, this could lead to greater risk of injury. This sounds rather grave at first glance, but there are two pieces of good news to report:

  1. There are no reports of an injuries due to this issue thus far
  2. GMC has prepared a fix, and dealerships have been notified to perform it 100% free of charge

Naturally, Gary Lang Buick GMC would like all drivers from McHenry, IL to be made aware, which is why we're happy to hear that GMC will be notifying owners via mail of the recall.
