Gary Lang Buick GMC gets Excited for the new Canyon Midsize pickup

At the 2013 LA Auto Show we learned that the following year would bring a new vehicle to the current lineup of new GMC models. At this year's Detroit Auto Show, the 2015 GMC Canyon was finally unveiled.

The GMC Canyon is a midsize pickup that is very closely related to the new Chevy Colorado. This truck was built as an answer for drivers who require the capability that pickup ownership offers but would prefer better mileage over hauling capacity. The new GMC Canyon is certainly smaller than the GMC Sierra but it can still pack a punch.,/p>

This midsize sports similar looks to the Sierra but is offered with different drivetrain options. The standard engine is a 2.5-liter inline four-cylinder that can push out 193 horsepower. The second is a larger 3.6-lliter V6 model that can generate up to 302 horsepower and 270 lb.-ft. of torque. GMC officials have already announced that a 2.8-liter diesel option will also become available but will be delayed until after the initial launch.

During this vehicle's debut it was also announced that it would be offered in both Extended Cab and Crew Cab body configurations. We are already confident that this is the type of truck that drivers in the McHenry area will quickly fall in love with.

If you would like to get all the details about this new and exciting midsize pickup from GMC, then please be sure to visit us at the Gary Lang Buick GMC showroom. We are located at 1111 S. Route 31 McHenery, IL. We hope to see you soon.
